About Me

I’m a mom to four kiddos (aged 11, 8, 4 and 2)  in a small town near Columbia, South Carolina.

My eldest son “Spidey” is 11. He’s the quiet one of the bunch (until you get to know him). He (and his dad) had already had a rough life before I met them-but he’s called me mom since he was a little over 2. He has a really big heart and a great sense of humor. My eldest daughter “Princess” is the exact opposite. She loves being the center of attention! She is 7 and enjoys life to the fullest extent she can. If you were to ask her what her favorite things to do are she would likely tell you “beauty pageants” and as you began to ask about that she’d say “and riding four wheelers”. She’s a true southern gal. ;-) “Cowboy” is my youngest son and he’s 4. His favorite shoes are cowboy boots (hence the nickname) and he’s most definitely the mama’s boy. He catches a little flack about it from his siblings but doesn’t seem to care. He often reminds me of Alvin (of Chipmunk fame). “Tinkerbell” is the youngest of them all. She’s 2 and already has her daddy right where she wants him (around her pinky!). She loves to sing and dance with the radio or if you’re just humming a tune. She will follow me around the house until her daddy comes home-then I (along with the rest of the world) become invisible.

I am a Christian but I believe that generally speaking religious tradition will ruin spirituality. It’s taken my entire life to find out who I truly am and what I believe…and some days I’m still not sure. I hate confrontation. My family says I have an over-active conscience. I’m always honest (to a fault) and even if I tried to lie I’d tell on myself. I’d feel guilty. I do write using a pseudo-name because there are far too many creepy people in the world. I have had issues with my weight and self-worth since I began gaining weight in High School, but I’m working hard to dig deep and change.
