Seriously!
Most city ordanances around here say that bars and strip clubs, even a store that sells lingerie can’t be within so many yards of a church or school.
Maybe that’s because we are down south, but wow! Seriously!
I’d love to be in that church fighting that battle! And I’m so happy that my husband has no need to go into such a filthy place!
This will be on my prayer list for sure!

Yeah, I know there’s a big fuss around here anytime something new like that is being debated. I don’t know that I necessarily agree with either tactic but it is interesting. They’ve got guts, and I’m sure it gets them a great deal of publicity. I’ve been praying about this too.

I didn’t say anything either way and I’m sure it probably depends on the club you go to (as per the level of filth/cleanliness). You’re right-to each his/her own. I found it interesting because I didn’t necessarily agree with either tactic.

Now I see, maybe you were replying to Christi! Maybe she means filthy as in how she feels about it morally, not necessarily the actual level of cleanliness.

I saw the church vs strippers article the other day. My reply is not going to be the orthodox reply..and I may get judged for this…(slight sarcasm) Knowing how much the strippers make, might cause the preacher to allow them membership for their tithes.
Jesus may not go to the strip club, but he doesn’t go to that church either. :O
oko,… in all seriousness though… If the church has a right to picket, so do the strippers. But why are ‘Christians’ trying to force their religion on strippers? More behavior modification is gonna save the world from immorality? I don’t think so. Is the ‘gospel’ “Jesus Hates Strippers?” No.

sigh** but far too many people are still eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and they think they are gods knowing right from wrong.

YES, YES, YES!!!I was actually considering doing a blog post-but I believe just about the same thing you do. So many “Christians” think they have all the answers and that it’s supposed to be “their way” or “no way”. What if “their way” isn’t God’s way? I agree 100%. I think I will do a post on this soon. I hope you’ll come back and read it; let me know what you think. It may be Wednesday (b/c I have other things planned and want to get my point across in the best manner) but I’d love to get your input!!!
